The last century affected us like no other. Surprisingly, tiny Český Krumlov experienced events that shaped millions of lives all over Europe.
This renaissance town witnessed the rise of Adolf Hitler to power and his visit to Český Krumlov in 1938, the WW2 liberation from nazism by the American army in 1945, and the arrival of Soviet tanks in 1968.
On this tour, you will see a local synagogue and hear about the Jewish community in Český Krumlov, visit the castle to listen to the fate of the last nobles and you will discover beautiful places that other tourists usually miss.
Join us on this unique OPEN TOUR to see all of this and more in historical black and white photographs.
- Local expert guide
- Dozens of historical black and white pictures

The tour begins in the main square of Český Krumlov in front of the information center. Your guide will be holding a red umbrella.
